Zoom Effects

For this exercise we had to play around with using the zoom function while the camera was actually shooting and play around with some other zoom techniques.  This was a combination of manually zooming and the radial blur filter in photoshop :D.   I like the effect but it took a lot of playing around to get it right.  I tried it out on a lot of things but in the end the TARDIS ones turned out best.

Nighttime Photography

This is also part of the manual controls experimentation, we had to capture subjects in the dark.  I photographed a lot of different subjects for this like my accomodation at uni from the outside, my dad's house and shed and some carparks but the candles turned out the best.  There were some that were really good comositions but turned out blurry.  I like the first one the best for some reason.  It was taken with a faster shutter speed than the others so it turned out darker but I like that effect.

Shutter Speed Experiments

These are experimenting with shutter speed.  The first one was 1/1000 I think and the second was 1/15 or something.  It was an overcast day but I still had to fix the aperture in the second one so it didn't turn out so bright, hence it having more depth of field than the first one.  The cropping wasn't for any compositional reason, there was just some very embarrassing byproduct of dog on the lawn that I didn't notice till after I took the photos :/
