Cropping Images

This is one half of the exercise for week 5 photomedia.  I decided not to use photos taken for class so these are ones I took in my own time.  They actually looked pretty ordinary before editing and I'm really pleased how they came up.  All of them have had the levels adjusted and I fiddled around with the contrast and colour levels with all but the petrol bowser.  For the rooftop one I accidentally had the fluorescent light setting still on so the original photo turned out a bit blue and I may have gone a bit overboard with the colour balance :/

I'll have the next half of this exercise up after I do the scanner art ;)

Business Card Designs

Just a bit of catch up.  These are the business card designs I researched for week 6 (I actually found them in week 6 too, I just haven't uploaded them yet D:).  I thought they were all pretty funky, I like how people have tried to do things different with them instead of just a straight, plain and boring business card, because I know, at the end of the day, I'm more likely to remember (and keep) something is different ;).  Some of these must cost a hell of a lot of money to produce in large quantities though...

My posting's probably going to be a bit all over the place from now on just so you know :/  I don't actually have any photos of artworks to do my own business card designs yet unfortunately...

This was the merging layers thing we did in class.  The first we had to use images provided by the teacher and the second we could do what we wanted.  For the second I found a picture of a guitar and overlayed a bunch of textures that I liked.  I like how it turned out even though it's probably not as abstract as it should be though...
